Unpaid Legal Studies Internship for College Credit/Possible Job Placement

Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to learn from one of  Minnesota's largest law firms. We are currently accepting applications for our comprehensive legal studies internship program. We're accepting applicants to start ASAP

Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates will have these qualities:

  • Current student, or recent graduate, from an undergraduate Legal Studies program or related field.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to understand and apply the rules of professional responsibility
  • Proactive
  • Responsive and responsible
  • A willingness to pitch in and help when tasks come up
  • A teachable attitude
  • Self-starter
  • Timeliness and accountable to deadlines

Experience with these tools is preferred:

  • Microsoft Office Applications
  • Task management programs

Successful candidates must have strong attention to detail.

Benefits

This is an unpaid internship, however we are more than happy to fulfill any university's requirements to receive college credit. Moreover, we as a firm are inclined to offer available positions to interns first. Interns will gain practical experience applying legal studies concepts in a multistate law firm, communicating effectively with diverse audiences, and preparing and filing cases with various county courts. Hours are flexible, but we do ask for a consistent schedule. Lastly, this internship takes place at our Roseville office, due to the work, we are unable to accept remote applicants.
