Carlson Career Trek | Investment Banking | New York
Carlson Career Treks are an opportunity for students to learn from those in their fields of interest and build relationships with employers and alumni.

Application deadline: October 18 @ 11:55pm
Eligibility to apply:
- Carlson undergraduate student
- Finance major
- Cumulative GPA: 3.5+ (We recognize first year students may not have a GPA at time of application, please still apply)
- Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior
Application Instructions:
- Submit application via Handshake
- Submit a resume. Resumes must be submitted in PDF form
- Submit a cover letter. Cover letters must be submitted in PDF form and address the following 3 prompts clearly in your cover letter: 1) describe your interest in participating in the trek, 2) describe what you hope to learn/gain by participating 3) define how you anticipate the trek will assist you with your career goals
*NOTE*
The trek can only accommodate up to 20 students. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so submitting your application sooner will benefit your chance of being selected. This application will be closed once maximum number of participants is reached
Cost:
- While there is no fee to participate in the trek, students are responsible for their own transportation to and around New York and lodging expenses

Recruitment Timeline:
- Submit application by October 18 at 5pm via Handshake
- After you submit your application it will be evaluated and staff will select individuals and invite them to interview. Tentative interview dates are October 23- November 2
- After interviews, invitations to attend the Carlson to Career Trek will be extended by Friday, November 3.
About the trek
New York trek dates: January 8-11
Tentative schedule:
- 1/8: travel day & tentative evening event
- 1/9: site visits & evening event
- 1/10: site visits & evening event
- 1/11: tentative morning event/end of trek
On the trek you will meet with alumni through networking events as well as participate in site visits at various firms. The itinerary for the trek is still being finalized and selected participants will be given updates as the agenda is finalized.
