Human Resources Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Internship

Purpose of position: The Human Resources Diversity, Equity &Inclusion Intern will directly assist members of the HR team and DI committee with a wide range of projects related
The goal of this internship will be for the candidate to gain a better understanding of the role Human Resources can play in a non-profit setting and be better prepared to work in the human resources field and non-profit sector.
Projects:
· Support various Rise HR functions in relation to our DEI program and Committee. This can include policy/procedure review, researching benchmarks and best practices, coordinating meetings, preparing materials, etc.
· Analysis and research on various topics, related to training of teams in DEI.
· Create Diversity and Inclusion training presentations.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
· Assist with monthly manager trainings
· Attend and participate in DI committee meetings
· Additional duties and project related work in HR dept. as needed.
Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program.
· Passion and aptitude for working in Human Resources, or non-profit management/ administrative fields.
· A self-starter who proactively handles challenges and issues as they occur.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and internet applications including data entry experience.
· Strong attention to details and organizational skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong team player with high energy, drive, and a positive attitude.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment with many different activities and projects happening simultaneously
· Compliance with DHS background check and fingerprinting
Location:
· Spring Lake Park location
· Some Remote work
Time Commitment:
· 20 hours per week for 3 months minimum
· Tentative start September
